Aa Gym menganggap, orasi-orasi tentang pemerintah yang terselip di Reuni 212 merupakan hal yang wajar. "Menyampaikan aspirasi sepanjang tak melanggar aturan tentu sah-sah saja," ucap dia.
Aa Gym merasa bersyukur karena Reuni 212 berlangsung tertib dan menurutnya penuh hikmah serta makna. Aa Gym berterima kasih kepada semua pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ini.

Terkait orasi yang bersifat politik yang mewarnai jalannya kegiatan, Aa Gym menuturkan, perbedaan pilihan merupakan hak masing-masing warga. Berkumpulnya umat Islam di reuni ini pun dia maknai sebagai bukti umat merindukan kebersamaan tanpa dinodai prasangka buruk.
"Adapun pernyataan-pernyataan isi hati tentang pilihan adalah hak masing-masing. Tidak ada satupun tokoh, sekalipun Presiden, organisasi, partai golongan yang bisa mengumpulkan massa semua ini karena ini tidak bisa diakali atau direkayasa. Ini adalah panggilan hati sehingga ada yang rela berkorban waktu, harta, tenaga, pikiran dan dengan menyuarakan aspirasinya dengan keindahan akhlak, kemuliaan sikap, kesantunan," terang Aa Gym.
"Ini adalah aset bangsa, tidak perlu dicurigai. Semua kecurigaan Islam radikal, ingin memisahkan dari NKRI dan sebagainya sudah terjawab. Jangankan merusak NKRI, rumput pun tidak ada yang dirusak. Kita semua mencintai NKRI dengan caranya masing-masing dan kita harus berbaik sangka satu sama lain," imbuh Aa Gym.
